The short answer for a futsal club, with the numbers

Which garments a futsal club orders, and the fabric behind each

The core order is match jersey, shorts and socks in a home colourway plus a contrasting goalkeeper set. League clubs add an away colourway; clubs with a bench add warm-up tops and bench jackets; clubs training twice a week add reversible vests and bibs. Names, numbers and sponsor logos on a futsal kit: the placement rules in general terms

Most futsal competitions require a back number, and many also require a smaller number on the front or the shorts so officials can identify players during rolling substitutions. Sizes and positions vary by league, so the club sends its regulations and we set the mockup to them.

Because ZipaSports sublimates the whole jersey, a number is dyed into the polyester rather than applied, and washes no faster than the club colours. Goalkeeper kit: padding, contrast and the second keeper

A futsal goalkeeper dives on a hard floor all match, so the goalkeeper jersey and trousers are where construction matters more than print. The padded goalkeeper jersey carries foam padding at the elbows and, on the long-sleeve version, along the forearm; the goalkeeper trousers carry padding at the hips and knees. Both are cut from the same 140–180 GSM polyester interlock as the outfield kit so the goalkeeper is not in a heavier shirt in a warm hall, and both are fully sublimated.

The goalkeeper colourway has to contrast with the club's own outfield kit, the opponents' kit and, in most leagues, the referee's shirt, which is why bright single colours are the usual choice. ZipaSports prepares the goalkeeper set on the same mockup sheet as the outfield kit so the committee sees all three colourways together and can judge the contrast before approval. Order for two goalkeepers as a minimum, ideally in two sizes, and order the youth goalkeeper set at the same time so it comes from the same dye lot. A goalkeeper set is a separate design, so a club needing only two or three should say so; lower quantities are possible on request for exactly this situation.

Home, away and third colourways for an indoor court

Futsal leagues follow the same colour logic as football: the home team wears its first colourway, the away team changes if there is a clash, and the referee decides what counts as a clash. Indoors, the practical rule is one light kit and one dark kit. Halls are lit from above and walls are often pale, so a white or light-coloured home kit and a dark away kit gives the referee and the players the clearest contrast whatever the opponents wear. The goalkeeper wears a third colour that clashes with neither.

Most clubs order home and goalkeeper first and add an away kit once the fixture list shows who they clash with. Have the away colourway designed with the home kit anyway: the mockup is free, the file is kept on record, and the away kit later arrives in the same layout with only the colours changed.

Colours are matched from a Pantone reference or the existing shirt. Sublimation prints any colour, but a pale shade with a fine dark pattern looks different under hall lighting than on screen, so for a new colourway we recommend the physical sample (5–7 days, credited against bulk). Approved references are held so next season's away kit matches this season's home shirt.

Mixed sizes, junior grading and the women's team in one order

One design can contain any mix of sizes. The per-design minimum counts pieces in one jersey style and colourway, so a senior squad of 12, a women's team of 10 and an under-16 squad of 12 in the same home shirt make 34 pieces of one design across men's, women's and youth patterns. Where the women's team wants its own cut, the women's futsal kit is a separate pattern, decorated identically.

Junior kit is graded from the youth size chart rather than scaled down from the adult pattern, so the shorts inseam and the sleeve length are right for a child, and the number height on the back is reduced so it fits the smaller jersey. Junior futsal kits run in the same batch as the adult kit, from the same fabric roll, so the colour is consistent between the under-12s and the first team on a club photograph.

Sizes run adult XS–5XL, women's XS–4XL and youth, with custom size charts if the club has one it trusts. We send the chart with the mockup; the club measures a shirt that fits against it, or orders a size set as a sample. Each piece is bagged and labelled with name, number and size, which for three age groups turns an evening of sorting into a ten-minute handout.

Season deadline planning: the timeline table for a futsal secretary

Futsal seasons in the UK and Europe generally run through the autumn and winter, and in Australia and North America the calendar varies by state and league, so rather than name a month the table works back from your first fixture. The step that slips is always the same: collecting sizes and numbers from players. Start that the day the first mockup arrives.

A club that starts eight weeks out and skips the sample can hold a kit night two weeks before the season. A club that starts four weeks out is asking for express production and should say so in the first message so the route is confirmed before the mockup is drawn.
