What a whole-club package includes

A club order at ZipaSports is built garment by garment, so a Sunday league side can take match shirts only while a semi-professional club orders match, training, presentation and travel kit for three squads in one consignment. Each garment type is its own design with a 20–25 piece minimum, lower on request for small squads.

Names, numbers and sponsor logos: how they go on and where

On a sublimated match shirt the player name, number, club crest and every sponsor logo are printed into the fabric in the same pass as the design, so there is no separate decoration stage, no vinyl to peel and no limit on colours. ZipaSports needs one spreadsheet listing each player's name, number and size, and vector files for the crest and sponsors. Embroidered crests are available for polos, jackets and fleece where a raised badge is wanted.

Sponsor placement follows the same conventions in most leagues: main sponsor across the front chest, secondary sponsor on the back above the number, sleeve sponsors on one or both arms and a shorts sponsor on the leg. Competition rules on logo size, number height and font differ between leagues and age groups, so send us your league's kit regulations with the artwork and the mockup is drawn to them. Youth competitions frequently restrict sponsor categories; check before the sponsor signs.

Number fonts can be a standard block, a club's existing font or a custom style drawn by the studio. The full method, including file formats and how to lay out a squad list, is on the names, numbers and sponsor logos page and the dye sublimation page.

Mixed sizes, youth-to-adult grading, and home, away and third from one artwork

The 20–25 piece minimum is met by one design in any mix of sizes. A squad of 22 in sizes from S to 3XL is one order line, and a club with a junior section can add youth sizes of the same design without opening a second minimum. ZipaSports grades patterns by computer from youth sizes through adult XS–5XL, with women's cuts XS–4XL, so a girls' team, a women's team and a men's team can wear the same kit in three properly proportioned fits.

Home, away and third kits are separate designs because each is a separate print file, so each carries its own 20–25 minimum. The cost of design work does not repeat: once the home artwork is approved, the studio recolours it for the away and third versions within the free design service and you approve all three mockups together. Many clubs order the home kit for every squad and the away kit for first-team players only, which keeps quantities inside the minimum on both.

Goalkeeper shirts in a contrast colourway are counted as their own design; because most clubs need only two or three per squad, they are handled as a lower quantity on request rather than a full run. Size charts and grading rules are explained in the sportswear size chart guide.

Season deadlines and express production

Bulk production at ZipaSports takes 15–25 business days after the mockup and size list are approved, and courier delivery adds 5–10 days. Working back from a season start, the safe order date is around eight weeks out; express production of 7–12 days, at additional cost, brings that to roughly four weeks when a sponsor signs late or a new squad is formed.

What starts the clock is a written approval of the mockup, a complete names-numbers-sizes list and a confirmed order; a missing sponsor file pauses it. Sublimated garments are the fastest route because there is no separate decoration stage. For a longer view of how factory calendars move around the year read manufacturing lead times by season and how long custom sportswear takes.

Reorders that match last season's kit

When a club reorders, ZipaSports prints from the same approved artwork file, the same Pantone references and the same size specification held on record, so a shirt for a January signing matches the shirts issued in August. The approved sample, or the first bulk run where no sample was made, is the reference standard for every later run.

Two honest limits apply. Minor shade tolerance between dye lots of the base fabric is normal and is not treated as a defect; on sublimated polyester it is rarely visible, and the wash-fastness and colour-fastness checks run on sublimated fabric keep the print itself consistent. Second, a reorder of five shirts is below the 20–25 minimum, so top-ups are handled as a lower quantity on request rather than refused; clubs that expect to sign players mid-season usually add a few unnumbered spares to the main order and have numbers applied later.

Sponsor changes are the most common reason for a mid-season reorder. Because the sponsor is part of the sublimation file, the studio swaps the logo, sends a revised mockup within 24 hours, and the rest of the design stays untouched. Files are kept on record season after season; tell us if a design is retired so the archive stays accurate.

Sizing day advice for club secretaries

Most sizing problems on a club order come from players guessing rather than from the factory, so run a sizing day before you approve the list. Order a physical sample of the chosen shirt from ZipaSports (charged at sample cost and credited against the bulk order, 5–7 days) or use the size chart with a tape measure at chest and waist, and record each player's choice on one sheet with their name and number beside it.

Points that save a reorder:

The collection sheet, measuring instructions and the youth-versus-adult grading rules are set out in how to collect team sizes for a kit order, with cut differences explained in men's, women's and youth cuts explained.

What the club secretary sends us, and the Quality Guarantee

A club order needs less paperwork than most secretaries expect; the free design service fills gaps such as a crest that only exists as a photo of a blazer badge.

Every club order is covered by the policy. Quality Guarantee: if any garment arrives with a manufacturing defect, we remake it free of charge — the remake goes into production within 3 days of your report. A misprinted number, an open seam or a shirt in the wrong size against the approved list all qualify; send photos and the order reference within 7 days of delivery and replacements ship at no charge. A player who chose the wrong size is not a defect, hence the sizing day. Full terms are on the Quality Guarantee page.

Shipping club kit to the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Europe

Club kit leaves Sialkot by DHL, FedEx or UPS and reaches the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Europe in 5–10 days, delivered to one address with a tracking number sent on collection. Orders are packed by squad, and on request by player, with each player's shirt, shorts and socks polybagged and labelled by name and number so distribution at the clubhouse takes minutes rather than an evening.

Every shipment carries a commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. Import VAT and any duty are payable by the importer on arrival unless otherwise agreed in the quotation, and the courier handles customs clearance and invoices the charges; a club treasurer should allow for them in the kit budget. Splitting one order into two consignments, for example match kit now and presentation wear later, is possible but each parcel clears customs separately.

Sea freight at 3–6 weeks is only worth considering for a league or multi-club order. Destination notes are on the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and EuropeIrelandNew ZealandUAESaudi Arabia pages, and the full terms on the shipping policy.

Club kit guides by sport

Each sport has its own garment list, fabric choices and league conventions, so ZipaSports publishes a club guide per sport with the specific kit anatomy, GSM options, decoration and season timeline. Amateur and Sunday league sides have a dedicated guide on ordering factory-direct from one squad's worth of shirts.

Before choosing a supplier of any kind, the team kit buying guide for clubs and how to choose a football kit manufacturer list the questions to ask and how to verify the answers.

Frequently Asked Questions

We're a small club with 16 players. Is the 20–25 minimum a problem?

A 16-player squad can be quoted, because the ZipaSports minimum of 20–25 pieces per design is lower on request for small teams. Most clubs of that size order a few spare shirts in middle sizes to reach the minimum and cover late signings.

Can every player have their own name and number without affecting the minimum?

On sublimated kit the name and number are printed into the shirt with the design, so every shirt in the order can be different without affecting the 20–25 minimum per design. You send one spreadsheet of name, number and size per player.

Do all 20 shirts have to be the same size?

The 20–25 minimum is met by one design in any mix of sizes, from youth through adult XS–5XL and women's XS–4XL. A squad of 22 in eight different sizes is a single order line, and junior sizes of the same design can be added to it.

Can our junior section and senior section be in one order?

Youth and adult sizes of the same design are cut from graded patterns in one production run, packed by squad, and shipped in one consignment. Youth competitions sometimes restrict sponsor categories, so tell us which shirts are for juniors when you send the squad list.

When should we order kit for a season that starts in August?

Kit for an August season start should be briefed ten to twelve weeks before the first fixture, with the mockup and size list approved eight weeks out. Bulk production takes 15–25 business days after approval plus 5–10 days by courier. Express production of 7–12 days, at additional cost, allows approval around four weeks before kick-off.

Can you reprint last season's shirt for new signings?

ZipaSports keeps the approved artwork, Pantone references and size specification on record, so a reorder matches the original run. Top-ups below the 20–25 minimum are handled as a lower quantity on request; minor shade tolerance between fabric dye lots is normal and not a defect.

Where can our sponsors' logos go on the shirt?

Front chest, back above the number, one or both sleeves and the shorts leg are the usual positions, and all are included in the sublimation print. Logo size and placement limits are set by your league, so send the kit regulations with the artwork and the mockup is drawn to them.

Can the goalkeeper kit be a different colour in the same order?

Goalkeeper shirts in a contrast colourway are a separate design, and because a club normally needs two or three, they are supplied as a lower quantity on request rather than a full 20–25 run. Long-sleeve goalkeeper shirts are available.

What if some shirts arrive with a printing fault or an open seam?

A printing fault or an open seam is a manufacturing defect covered by the ZipaSports Quality Guarantee: the affected shirts are remade free of charge, with the remake in production within 3 days of your report. Send photos and the order reference within 7 days of delivery; replacements are shipped at no charge.

Who pays import duty or VAT when the kit arrives in the UK, USA or Australia?

The importer, meaning the club, pays any import VAT and duty on arrival unless a different arrangement is agreed in the quotation. The courier clears customs and invoices the charges. ZipaSports supplies the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin with every shipment.
