What buying factory-direct actually means
Buying factory-direct means your order is placed with the unit that owns the machines and employs the operators, not with an office that forwards it elsewhere. At ZipaSports the design studio, pattern room, sublimation printing, cutting, stitching lines, embroidery, screen print, DTF, quality control, labelling and packing all sit on one site in Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan.
Three practical differences follow from that. A specification change reaches the line the same day instead of travelling through a middle office. The person quoting your order can look at your fabric on the rack before answering. And a fault is corrected by the same people who made the garment, which is why the remake guarantee on this page can be written with a fixed timescale.
No part of production is subcontracted out. Cutting, sewing and every decoration method are done in-house, so nothing in your order is handed to a workshop we do not control.

Factory, trading company or marketplace seller?
Many sportswear suppliers online are not factories. Trading companies buy from factories and resell; marketplace sellers list other people’s stock. Both are legitimate businesses, but they add a margin and a delay, and neither can change a seam or a print at the source. Four questions separate them quickly.
| Ask this | A factory can answer | A reseller usually cannot |
|---|---|---|
| “Can you video-call me from the cutting floor today?” | Yes, on request, with the machines running | Offers stock photos or a scheduled visit later |
| “Which decoration methods are under your own roof?” | Names each one and shows it | Gives a general list without location |
| “Can you change the collar and re-grade the size chart?” | Sends a revised pattern and mockup | Has to ask a third party and quote later |
| “What is your registered address and export licence?” | A physical address in the industrial estate, plus certificate copies on request | An office address or none |
The full comparison, including when a trading company is the sensible choice, is in factory vs trading company vs marketplace.
How to verify this factory before you pay
Apply the same checks to us that you would apply to any supplier. Nothing on this list requires you to trust a claim on a website.
- Address. ZipaSports operates from Talwara Mughlan, Sialkot, Punjab 51310, Pakistan, and has done since 2005. Company background is at about ZipaSports.
- Live video tour. Ask for a walk-through from the factory floor on WhatsApp during office hours, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 18:00 PKT. Visits to Sialkot can be arranged.
- Certificate copies. ISO 9001:2015 quality management, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 tested fabrics, BSCI audit, GRS recycled options, SGS testing and a Government of Pakistan exporter licence; certificate copies are available on request. See certifications.
- Sample before bulk. Order a physical sample in 5–7 days at sample cost, credited against the bulk order, and check the stitching, print and measurements yourself.
- Evidence of work. Review finished production at our work and ask for pre-shipment photos of your own order.
If you are shortlisting several suppliers, how to choose a sportswear manufacturer sets the questions out as a scorecard.
What the factory produces
The floor is set up for cut-and-sew sportswear rather than one narrow product, so a single buyer can cover several needs from one order.
- Sports teamwear across 21 team sports: match shirts, shorts, socks, tracksuits and reversibles.
- Combat wear across 12 disciplines: gis, rash guards, fight shorts, boxing trunks and walkout tees.
- Fitnesswear: leggings, sports bras, gym tops, hoodies and joggers, including seamless knit options.
- Dance teamwear: leotards, competition costumes, skirts and warm-up jackets, with rhinestone work.
- Motowear: motocross and enduro jerseys, riding pants and pit-crew shirts.
- Workwear: work polos, coveralls, jackets, aprons and hi-vis garments designed to EN ISO 20471 visibility requirements.
- Bags and accessories: kit bags, duffels, backpacks, caps, socks and gloves in 600D polyester or 420D nylon.
Fabric options and GSM ranges for each of these sit at fabrics; the full custom offer is summarised at custom sportswear.
Minimums, capacity and how the line is scheduled
The factory schedules work by design, not by piece, which is why the minimum is expressed per design. Minimum order is 20–25 pieces per design, lower quantities are possible on request for sample runs and small teams, and there is no MOQ limit for sportswear brands and companies.
Mixed sizes and mixed names sit inside one design, so a squad ordering twenty shirts across six sizes with twenty different player names is still a single design in the plan. Adding a second colourway or a different cut makes it a second design.
Capacity is organised as parallel stitching lines fed by one cutting room and one print floor, so several orders run at once and a repeat order slots back onto the same pattern. Volume programmes for distributors and brands are planned in advance against a delivery calendar rather than taken week by week. Pre-season months are the busiest, so clubs and academies with a fixed start date should book early. Small first runs are covered at low MOQ sportswear manufacturer.
Factory lead times, stage by stage
Every stage below starts when the previous one is approved. The clock on bulk production starts at design approval, not at first enquiry.

| Digital mockup | Within 24 hours | Free, unlimited revisions before approval, no obligation |
| Physical sample | 5–7 days | Charged at sample cost and credited against the bulk order |

| Express production | 7–12 days | At additional cost, subject to approved mockup and size breakdown |
| Air freight | 5–10 days | DHL, FedEx or UPS, worldwide, tracked |
| Sea freight | 3–6 weeks | For bulk programmes |
| WhatsApp reply | Within 2 hours | Business hours; email within 24 hours |
Season-by-season planning is at turnaround times.
Quality control and export documents
Quality control runs in-line and again at final inspection rather than only at the end. Sublimated fabric is checked for wash-fastness and colour-fastness, garments are measured against the approved size specification, and decoration is compared with the approved mockup before packing. Pre-shipment photos are sent on request so you can approve what is in the carton before it leaves Sialkot. The full procedure is set out at quality control.
Export paperwork is prepared in-house: commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin travel with every shipment, which is what your courier or customs broker needs to clear the goods. Import duty and VAT are payable by the importer on arrival unless otherwise agreed. Country-level detail is at shipping policy, and the buying route into export markets is described at our supply programme.
The Quality Guarantee behind the factory
Quality Guarantee: if any garment arrives with a manufacturing defect, we remake it free of charge — the remake goes into production within 3 days of your report.
A manufacturing defect means a print fault, a stitching fault, a wrong size against the approved size specification, or the wrong garment or quantity against the approved order. Minor shade variation between dye lots, measurement tolerance within the size chart, buyer sizing errors and change of mind are not defects. Because made-to-order garments carry your own design and labels, they are not returnable for change of mind.
To claim, send photos and your order reference on WhatsApp or by email within 7 days of delivery. We confirm within 24 hours during business hours, remake the affected pieces and ship them at no charge, or issue a credit if you prefer that instead. The written policy is at quality guarantee and the returns detail at return policy.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is ZipaSports a factory or a trading company?
ZipaSports is a factory. Design, pattern making, sublimation, cutting, stitching, embroidery, screen print, DTF, QC and packing all run on our own site at Talwara Mughlan, Sialkot, Pakistan, with no part of production subcontracted out.
Where is your sportswear factory located?
The factory is at Talwara Mughlan, Sialkot, Punjab 51310, Pakistan, and has operated since 2005. Sialkot is Pakistan’s sports-goods and sportswear export cluster, which is why in-house sublimation and cut-and-sew capacity is available there at low minimums.
Can I visit the factory or get a video tour?
Yes. A live video tour from the factory floor can be arranged on WhatsApp during office hours, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 18:00 PKT, and visits to Sialkot can be arranged. Pre-shipment photos of your own order are also available.
Do you subcontract any part of production?
No. Cutting, stitching and all decoration methods run in-house, including sublimation, screen printing, embroidery, DTF, puff print, heat transfer, rhinestone work and tackle twill, so one team is accountable for the finished garment.
What is the minimum order when buying factory-direct?
Minimum order is 20–25 pieces per design, with lower quantities possible on request for sample runs and small teams, and no MOQ limit for sportswear brands and companies. Mixed sizes and player names sit within one design.
What certifications does the factory hold?
ISO 9001:2015 quality management, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 tested fabrics, a BSCI audit, GRS recycled fabric options, SGS testing and a Government of Pakistan exporter licence. Certificate copies are available on request.
How long does factory production take?
Bulk production takes 15–25 business days after design approval, or 7–12 days on express at additional cost. Before that, the free digital mockup arrives within 24 hours and a physical sample takes 5–7 days.
Is it safe to buy sportswear direct from a factory in Pakistan?
Yes, when you verify the supplier: check the registered address, take a live video call from the production floor, order a sample before bulk, work from a written specification and approved mockup, and ask for certificate copies.
Does factory-direct mean I have to handle importing myself?
No. Shipments go by DHL, FedEx or UPS in 5–10 days with the courier clearing customs, and commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin are supplied. Import duty and VAT are payable by the importer unless otherwise agreed.
Can the factory manufacture under my own brand?
Yes. OEM and private-label production is standard: your design is made with your own woven neck labels, size and care tags, hang tags and branded packing, and your artwork is not resold or shown to other buyers.
