Custom Team Uniform Turnaround Times: Express 7–12 Days, Standard 15–25

In short: Custom team uniforms from ZipaSports in Sialkot, Pakistan take 15–25 business days to produce after design approval, or 7–12 days on express production, plus 5–10 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS to the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Europe. The free digital mockup arrives within 24 hours and an optional physical sample takes 5–7 days, so a club, academy, gym or brand can plan backwards from any kick-off date.

Every stage with a day count

The fastest honest answer to how long custom team uniforms take is a table, because the total depends on which stages you use. Every ZipaSports order passes through the mockup and bulk production; the sample is optional; the shipping method is your choice. The figures below are the ones we quote on every page and in every quotation, and they do not change by sport or category.

Bulk production is quoted in business days, Monday to Saturday in Pakistan; courier and sample times are calendar days. Public holidays in Pakistan that fall inside your window are flagged at quotation.

How long does it take to get custom team uniforms? Two worked totals

On the standard route with no sample, a team uniform order takes roughly four to seven weeks from first message to delivery: one to three days for the mockup and revisions, 15–25 business days in production, and 5–10 days by courier. The spread comes from how quickly the size sheet and names list arrive and from how many revision rounds the committee needs.

On the express route with no sample, the same order takes 12–22 days from approval to your door: 7–12 days in production plus 5–10 days by courier. Add the mockup day at the front and a squad can go from first contact to kit in hand in under four weeks, provided the artwork is approved promptly.

Adding a physical sample adds the 5–7 days it takes to make plus 5–10 days for the courier to deliver it, plus the time you take to check it. Budget two to three weeks for the sample loop, which is why clubs on a deadline skip it and brands with time in hand take it. Sea freight replaces the courier leg with 3–6 weeks and is only worth it for large cartons with no deadline pressure; our shipping policy explains when it pays.

Door-to-door by destination

ZipaSports ships every order from Sialkot, Pakistan by tracked air courier unless sea freight is agreed. The courier window is the same 5–10 days for every main market; the variation within it comes from customs clearance at the destination and from the day of the week the shipment leaves. Duties and import taxes are payable by the importer on arrival unless the quotation states otherwise.

What starts the clock, and what pauses it

Production time is counted from design approval, and design approval means four things received together: written approval of the final mockup, the size breakdown per garment, the names-and-numbers list where the kit carries them, and the confirmed quantity. Until all four are in, the order is in design, not in production, and the 15–25 business days have not started. This is the single most common reason a buyer's expected date and the factory's date differ.

Three things pause a clock that has started:

None of these is unusual and none is penalised; they simply move the date. The way to avoid them is to treat the approval message as a bundle: mockup, sizes, names, quantity, labels, in one email or WhatsApp thread, and to nominate one person on your side who signs off. The how it works page shows the approval bundle in context.

Backward planning for a season start or a tournament

Plan a kit order from the date you need it on the pitch, not from the date you first enquire. Count back the courier window, then production, then a week for design, then the sample loop if you want one. The table uses the longer end of each range so a normal delay still lands inside the deadline.

What speeds an order up

The buyer controls more of the timeline than most expect. Orders that reach us in the following state routinely land at the short end of every range.

Since 2005 the pattern at ZipaSports has been consistent: a complete approval bundle is worth more days than any factory shortcut.

What slows an order down

Delays are almost always at the design or approval stage, not on the sewing line. The list below is ranked by how often each one costs days.

  1. Revisions after approval. Any change to an approved garment restarts its lead time. Get player-level comments in before sign-off.
  2. Custom patterns and new cuts. A neckline, hem or women's fit not in the catalogue needs pattern drafting, grading and normally a sample before bulk.
  3. The physical sample loop. Worth it for brands and new patterns, but it adds 5–7 days of making, 5–10 days of courier and your checking time.
  4. Mixed decoration. A sublimated jersey with an embroidered crest passes through two decoration stations; a puff-print hoodie with a woven label adds label lead time.
  5. Late sponsor artwork. A sponsor confirmed after approval holds the print file for that garment.
  6. Custom labels and packaging. Woven neck labels and printed hang tags for private-label orders need their own artwork approval; send it with the mockup approval.
  7. Licensed fonts. A named font without the file may need a substitute agreed.
  8. Unusual fabric or GSM. Outside the published options, fabric may need to be sourced or knitted to order.

Where two of these coincide, ask for express production at quotation, or split the order so the standard garments ship on time and the complex ones follow.

Express production: what 7–12 days means

Express production is a priority slot on the cutting, printing and sewing lines that brings bulk production down from 15–25 business days to 7–12 days, at additional cost. It is the route for rush orders of custom jerseys and full kits against a fixed season start, tournament or sponsor launch. With the 5–10 day courier, express delivers in 12–22 days from approval.

Express changes the queue, not the process. Garments are cut on the same computer-controlled tables, sublimated on the same large-format presses, sewn on the same flatlock, overlock and coverstitch lines, and pass the same in-line and final QC, including the measurement check against the approved size specification.

Express suits sublimated kit in catalogue cuts with approved artwork and a complete size sheet. It does not suit orders that still need a physical sample or a new pattern, because those stages sit before production. Minimum order remains 20–25 pieces per design, lower on request, with no MOQ limit for sportswear brands. Quality Guarantee: if any garment arrives with a manufacturing defect, we remake it free of charge — the remake goes into production within 3 days of your report. That applies to express orders as it does to standard ones; see the Quality Guarantee for what counts as a defect and how to claim.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get custom team uniforms from ZipaSports?

Four to seven weeks on the standard route: a free mockup within 24 hours, 15–25 business days of production after approval, and 5–10 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS. On express production it is 7–12 days plus the courier, so 12–22 days from approval to your door.

What is the fastest turnaround for custom team uniforms?

Express production at 7–12 days plus 5–10 days by courier, which is 12–22 days from written approval to delivery in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia or Europe. That requires approved artwork, a size sheet and a names list on day one, and a sublimated garment in a catalogue cut.

Can I get custom jerseys in two weeks?

Only at the very short end of the express range: 7 days of production plus 5 days of courier is 12 days, and it assumes artwork, sizes and names are approved immediately. Three to four weeks is the realistic minimum to plan for; tell us the date and we will say honestly whether it is achievable.

Do you take rush orders for custom jerseys?

Yes, ZipaSports takes rush orders. They go on express production, 7–12 days at additional cost, then 5–10 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS. Book express at quotation, not after standard production has started, and send the size sheet and names list with the mockup approval.

Are the 15–25 days business days or calendar days?

Business days, Monday to Saturday in Pakistan, counted from the day we receive the approved mockup, size breakdown, names list and confirmed quantity together. Courier times of 5–10 days and sample times of 5–7 days are calendar days.

Does a physical sample add to the lead time?

Yes, by the 5–7 days it takes to make, the 5–10 days it takes to reach you, and the time you take to check it. Budget two to three weeks. Clubs ordering standard sublimated kit usually skip it; brands and anyone changing a pattern usually keep it.

How long is shipping from Pakistan to the UK, USA and Australia?

5–10 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS to all three, with tracking, once the order has passed final QC. Sea freight is 3–6 weeks and is used only for large bulk orders without a deadline. Duties and import taxes are payable by the importer unless your quotation says otherwise.

Does express production skip any quality checks?

No, express production skips no quality checks. Express garments pass the same fabric inspection, print check against the approved mockup, in-line stitching checks, measurement check within ±1–1.5 cm of the size chart and final inspection as standard orders. Only the queue position changes, and the free remake guarantee applies in full.

When does the production lead time start?

On the day we receive the complete approval bundle: written approval of the final mockup, the size breakdown, the names-and-numbers list where relevant and the confirmed quantity. Mockup revisions before that do not count against the 15–25 business days, and a change after it restarts the clock for the affected garment.

Can part of my order ship early?

Yes, an order can ship in parts. If one garment is delayed by late sponsor artwork or a custom pattern, the rest of the order can ship on time by courier and the remaining pieces follow. Ask for a split shipment when the delay is identified; each consignment carries its own tracking and export documents.
