Winter-code weight and summer-code weight: fabric for a New Zealand season
For rugby and league we recommend 160–180 GSM polyester interlock for the jersey body, the heavier end of our jersey range, because contact codes need a denser knit than football does. Sleeves can be long for winter fixtures, and quarter-zip midlayers and hoodies in 280–350 GSM fleece cover the bench.
Netball is a winter code played indoors and out, and the dress or bodysuit is cut from 180–220 GSM polyester-spandex 4-way stretch so it moves with the player. Position bibs are made separately in 140–180 GSM interlock so a centre can hold a set of seven in one carton.
Summer codes flip the priority. Cricket shirts and touch jerseys go to 140–160 GSM mesh with a moisture-wicking finish, with long-sleeve options for long days on the ground. We do not test or claim UPF ratings; if sun coverage is the aim, specify the long sleeve and a collar on the mockup rather than asking for a rating we cannot certify.

A sublimated rugby jersey is one where the hoops, sponsor logos and numbers are dyed into the polyester fibre before the panels are cut, so nothing sits on the surface to crack, peel or fade in the wash. Sizing and cuts for New Zealand teams
A rugby squad is the widest size spread in teamwear: the front row may need 3XL–5XL while the backs sit in S–L, and both wear the same design. Adult sizes run XS–5XL and women's XS–4XL, with youth sizes for school and junior grades, so one jersey block covers the whole team sheet.
